BREWHOUSE PUB & RESTAURANT
The Brewhouse Pub & Restaurant interior is envisioned as a warm, immersive social environment that combines the raw character of industrial spaces with the comfort of contemporary hospitality design. Exposed brick walls textured, tactile, and deeply characterful sit alongside timber surfaces, ambient lighting, and expansive seating arrangements to create an atmosphere that is lively yet grounded. Arched ceilings and arched windows reinforce the architectural identity of the space, lending it a sense of permanence and crafted detail that anchors the overall interior.

The initial design development focused on understanding how the interior could establish a strong sense of spatial identity through the interplay of structure, materiality, and atmosphere. The design explored how the ceiling, wall and floor components could work together to define the character and experience of the large interior volume. Particular attention was given to the relationship between the exposed timber structure and the existing brick architecture, with the aim of creating a space that felt cohesive, warm, and visually grounded while maintaining a sense of openness.
Model Iterations
A series of studies investigated different ceiling configurations, timber arrangements, and structural rhythms to understand their impact on scale, proportion, natural light, and visual continuity. The ceiling was gradually developed as an expressive architectural element, with intersecting timber members creating a rhythm that responds to the geometry of the arched openings. This iterative process helped establish a ceiling system that integrates structure and atmosphere, balancing the warmth of timber with the tactile character of the brick walls while strengthening the overall architectural language of the space.
The final design draws together rustic materiality and contemporary spatial planning into a brewery environment that feels as considered as it is convivial. Brick, timber, arched forms, and carefully layered lighting work in concert to celebrate craftsmanship and communal energy delivering a hospitality experience that is distinctive, functional, and deeply rooted in the culture of the space it serves.
