The project was developed on a narrow, funnel shaped plot of land, a challenge that eventually lead to the aerodynamic form of the building. Its robust expression conveys security and permanence, while vibrant accents symbolise renewed vitality and colour in the golden phase of life.
Exposed form-finished concrete reflects material honesty, resilience, and the wisdom accumulated over a lifetime. Together with age-responsive planning, these elements establish the Senior Citizen Housing as a progressive landmark.
A comprehensive range of recreational, fitness and social amenities supports the holistic well-being of residents. Wide circulation paths and landscaped pockets encourage spontaneous encounters, enabling residents to form meaningful relationships and experience a sustained sense of belonging.
Lobbies on every floor assume the role of walking bays which function as shared community spaces that celebrate individual bonds and encourage interaction among residents. Dynamically articulated jaalis modulate light and views, creating shifting visual connections with the exterior, enriching the sensory experience of movement.
Residences are planned to maximise natural light and cross-ventilation ensuring comfort and ease of living. Unlike conventional balconies that emphasise separation, The Senior Citizen Housing's fluid, projecting terraces encourage visual and conversational connections between neighbours.
